Its on again - in case someone (like myself) missed it back then. Quidco isn't as lucrative(1.1% which is measly :disappointed:) like last time though - but this is still the best price I could find for it online.

Cracking little unit. Bought one on Black Friday and surprisingly quick and not too loud either compared to my Canon all in one. Chose the £7.99 instant ink option and already had one ink delivered even though still on original cartridges. The voucher is valid through 2017 so may get another and activate it when 5 months are up on this one

brought this at black Friday deal....but haven't opened it yet - does the 5 months free instant ink offer code have a start date or did it expire. I mean is it too late to activate the offer? if so I might just take it back and get this one. any comments appreciated. thanks.

i see the 5546 has 9 months trial of instant ink - is that a better shout? I'm needing ink for my old HP printer but it might be a better option getting a whole new unit....

Will the higher resolution of the next model up offer any discernable difference in print quality?
Found this in the specifications for the model here: Up to 4800 x 1200 with HP photo paper and a 1200 dpi input

Very easy to install and use even without the laptop. Prints from iPhone without a problem. Though that little screen is a touch screen and the printer looks fab.

i would say no printing photos on this printer isn't a good idea as I found out most turn out really dark and not useable.

Does anyone know if instant ink vouchers can be stacked?

Apparently they can, I got conned by the sales assistant in currys who sold me a instant ink card for £1.99 when I purchased this printer in the Black Friday deals, some top guy who I presume works for currys told me by pm that although the sales assistant should not have sold me it, when I set up the printer not only will I get the 5 month free trial I can also activate the card I was sold and it would give me a extra month on too, I,e 7 months!!
