This deal is not for everyone as you need to have homecare cover with British Gas. This is not available online.
British Gas engineers are offering £50 discount on hives installed while they are at your property to carry out a repair or service. The normal "in day" price for a hive installed by a British Gas engineers is £199, so £149 now. If you have a faulty control- timer/thermostat the normal "in day" price is £149 so £99 now. In my experience the engineers will be happy to fit you one at the lower price even if your timer/thermostat is not faulty.
As mentioned i know this deal is not for everyone, but if you do have homecare it's the cheapest way to get yourself a hive.

I know what your saying, but keep the nurse thought internal, especially when she comes to take your temperature :smirk:

I get really p*ssed off when people calls these plumbers, engineers, they are not. It's like calling a nurse, a doctor./:-) Happy Xmas all, an annoyed engineer.

have some heat.... awesome product at great price
No they don't get commission if you have a new boiler installed. But they get £15 if they arrange and appointment for you to have a quote for a new boiler.
Hope this helps.

I don't know but I've had two different British gas engineers out in the past couple of weeks both of them pushed the hive until I told them I have the salus it500.
There could be something in it for them.

You're wrong I'm afraid, they don't get commission if you have a new boiler installed, but they get £15 if they book an appointment for you to have a quote for a new boiler, (if you have a new boiler installed or not)

Hmmm... had British Gas replace my programmable thermostat only 6 months ago - at the time I was told Hive would have been £149. Trouble is the one they've put there it's more complicated than the last one. SWMBO said she'd rather go back to a simple dial. Is the Hive particularly idiot proof?

Extremely idiot proof. You can download the app and use the demo to see how to use it, thermostat is also very simple

Engineers get £10 hive sale, same with other sales like filters on other article. Most will only advise if necessary, there are no targets for sales, always going to be a few pushy ones unfortunately
