No remote that's another £100, I didn't know until tonight that you could get the hub separate, I didn't want the remote and def not for £180 with the hub

yes, you can add up to 50 channels to favourites and alexa will then control them

If you have the hub you can use the free harmony app on your phone or tablet.

Sorry should have said that and its the easiest way to setup all your activities which then can use voice commands to control

yes it does!!!! Recently updated, Harmony have released their Skill for Alexa and also can use Yonomi
"Now Alexa and any Harmony hub-based remote work together, such as Harmony Elite and Harmony Companion. You can do all of your favorite things with your voice. It's so easy to turn on the TV and simply say "Alexa, tell Harmony to turn on the TV" and your TV and soundbar will come on.
Of course you can start and stop Harmony Activities as well. For example, you can say "Alexa, tell Harmony to turn on Netflix" or "Alexa, tell Harmony to turn on Sky Sports."
With this release, we've added some great new features. Now you can change the volume, change the channel or play/pause a movie. You can change the volume by saying, "Alexa, tell Harmony to increase the volume." Want to pause the movie? Simply say, "Alexa, tell Harmony to pause." All your entertainment is now a simple ask away.
We are always working hard to make sure that your Harmony remote works with all of the latest devices.

Harmony I don't think works with hive but echo does not tried yet but you should be able to set up a IFTTT (also added this last week) to turn everything on for movie and turn down hive lights - not an issue with hue/smart thing lightsas works with harmony
