Never heard of this brand, by if the memory type is Hynix that's really good wonder what the controller is like?

Wouldn't be worried as Hynix is the memory provider for IBM Servers, the controller is made by them too.
Quotes from their site:
"Hynix has competitive advantage by developing the world's first 16nm NAND.
NAND+Controller+DRAM: Total solution based on our own technology and manufacturing capability."

I think I should wait for another deal. Sandisk and crucial are better names and should go below £50 soon

found a youtube video where someone took it apart the controller is a silicon motion SM2256K in the 240gb. they might have something else in the 480gb
also seems like they used to be known as Hectron X1
i thought i'd jump in here, the price of these keeps rising, as for them not being a "brand name", my business purchases these direct from china for our pc builds, i have found these to be just as good as others, with a DOA failure rate to date of 2 drives out of 30. i would recommend these SSDs

Is your MBP mid 2012 a retina model? If it is it won't fit.
