be careful of this... OP are you SURE it is essentially the same as a DK2? the biggest improvement of the DK2 over the DK1 was its camera which tracked to allow full 6 degrees of motion tracking.
My understanding of this depoon HMD it only has the very basic tilt tracking that DK1 had, albeit with a screen more like the DK2.
IF I am right this is not as good as a DK2 at all, not even close. IMO the danger of people buying HMDs like this is they will think all VR is like this and ultimately it hurts the entire industry.
@ anyone who thinks VR is just like 3D TV..... if you have tried "proper" (ie oculus rift CV1 or VIVE) and feel that way fair enough, but if not, then, please do before giving an opinion. VR is NOTHING like 3DTV, and imo it will stick this time... sure it may not reach mass appeal for a few years, but i think there is enough traction now to survive....
I have had a VR system for 3 years now and honestly for racing games / flying games there is absolutely no going back. No VR support, no purchase for me it is that simple, and with motion control VR games to be honest other genres are fast going that way as well for me.

I was on the fence about this, until I noticed that it "makes your feel real".

Hmmm... if this has no camera for positional tracking then it's really a glorified GearVR for PC.
You'd be better off picking up a used DK2 off of ebay for circa £200 if you want a decent VR experience on PC for your money. Without positional tracking you may as well play games on your phone with GearVR and Cardboard.

It does it's just not an officially supported platform because the Oculus DK2 didn't officially support Win10 when this was made.

I've just ordered a Gear VR (and already have PSVR) but I am interested in this...
I see that there's no external sensory equipment so I assume that it doesn't do motion tracking.
I see it's for the PC and the it supports "most VRNG" - I've not heard of that before :S
From what I can gather, it looks as though this needs the "DeePoon Assistant" to make non-VR into VR but I don't see how it will work with games that are made for VR... Do you know any more about it?

It's compatible with SteamVR and the Oculus Store.
That uses Nvidia's cloud streaming app to send the PC game to your mobile phone over the internet I think.

Thanks
Seems like a great device for the money - especially if you've got a small office like me and don't want to play spacial VR games (some of the best VR games are seated imo).
I guess it's going to need a beefy pc to power it, akin to Vive & Occulus requirements?

Should be pretty easy to run this. What are your specs?

Xeon X5650, 24GB RAM, R9 270x 4GB.
Should be enough hopefully - it was more of a general question for anyone else interested
