Just got a quote off a compare site (comparethemarket.com) .. was £275 and then checked the cashback sites..
Quidco offering £66 and you also get a £50 G/C so if your insurance is due.. worth checking out!
The policy was the best price too.. so a bonus!

Well done, I got a quote and mine was over £200 more.
Aviva and their aliases seem to work best for myself.

you may find the quote is different going through a cashback site or they don't honour the cashback if you get the policy at that price. whichever way you do it, they will get the money they want from you..... :-/

Shame they were treble the price of my best quote. I've also never filled in so many questions for a quote, so on that basis I suspect they will be very greasy in the event of a claim...

Glad you got a good quote, mine's not needed for two months.
I thought I would do a quote anyway but stopped before the end.
We will use a credit referencing agency to do a credit check to ascertain the most appropriate payment options for you. The credit check will also appear on your credit report, under Eldon Insurance, whether or not your applications proceed.
I'm not sure why they need to do a credit check when I specified I would pay in full. I've got nothing to hide but it's more out of principle. There is mention in their T&C's that it helps to prevent fraud etc..... I'm only after a quote though.

You are offered pay for all or monthly. the credit check is only if you ask for that option i think?
