I think you may be confusing shortbread with butter, I'm no expert but I'm certain the best shortbread is not all butter, I think it has at least some sort of flour and sugar in it! :smiley:

Not all butter !! The best shortbreads are all butter.....we avoid those with added Palm Oil, Rapeseed oil etc as these have......they are cheaper ingredients.....Deans do make an all butter version which is very nice.....just not this one

M&S shortbread is also very nice, probably as good as Deans

It may well be made in the Dean's factory. It's amazing what you see when you visit the factory and watch the packing area. :smiley:
