A couple of years ago, I was torn between this and the Panasonic g5. I ended up going for the Panasonic, but still thought this was brilliant! A nice place between point and shoot cameras and dslr.

Dslr quality? Nope. Good price for an OK camera. Lags well behind the competition but at this price it now has a great chance

Iirc these had focus issues, and not great in low light. So fine for family photos outdoors, provided that your kids don't run around too much.

Would anybody recommend a different camera at a similar price? I'm guessing we could use the £100 off a £300 spend regardless of camera. It just means you won't get canon cashback.
