Price drop, IMAGING100 discount code & £100 Canon cash back has taken this to the lowest price it's ever been for UK stock. It's now within £50 within the greyest of grey importer's pricing, and has a 'proper' 2 year warranty through a UK company.
Yes the 6D Mk II is probably 6 months away, but for those with an existing collection of Canon glass looking to make the move to full frame - this is a bargain.
Ps, I shoot with a 5D Mk IV & 6D - so feel free to ask any questions.

How are you finding your 5D Mk IV? How much did you pay for it?

£2,500 through Panamoz for body only - probably one of the only importers I've had all round good experiences with. Wonderful piece of kit, although the 6D still runs it very close in low light. Only thing to be careful of, is it calls out the weaker glass in the bag - 135mm F2 looks utterly brilliant on it, whereas the 24-105 L looks rather poor.

Get a mirrorless if you don't really need the few remaining benefits of DSLR. But anyway, still seems like a good deal.

Yeah thats issue with mirrorless it's not a 100% yet. There are always nights when where I need a DSLR over my Sony.

Great price you got it for. Thanks got the 6D because of your post. I have a Canon 70-200mm USM ii 2.8 laying around not being used because I had enough of using it on my Sony A7 manually. Hopefully it will be better suited on this.

Really depend on what you do. If u shoot video, I think A7iiS wins hands down. However, if you want to shoot event in low light, the autofocus on DSLR still the best choice

I agree with you. filming in low light at a party is amazing. Try and take photos in the low light at the same party a nightmare. This is not helped with sony disabling auto focus lights on their flashguns. Yes it has the little orange light on the camera but it doesn't cut it. DSLR shooters always have a grin on their faces in these scenarios.

But the autofocus speed is getting closer and closer. Check out the new Olympus E-M1 Mark II, the auto-focus has big improvements and a lot faster frame rate than any DSLR to date. Let's hope Sony, Panasonic / Fujiflim can come out something even better in 2017!

Camera's aside, there's also the fact that Canon has the best glass by a country mile - the camera is only as good as the lens it's attached to...

There are quite a lot good lens in mirrorless body as well. Not to mention you are also allowed to use CanoNikon, Leica, etc lens on the mirrorless body now (just the focus speed is not as good as native only).
