It's been this price for quite a while now, I bought one about a month ago! Haven't even used it yet.
But great deal, HOT.

Thank you. Ye I'm after one but going to wait for January sales. Not in a rush but want to upgrade mobo, RAM and CPU as that's what is letting my gtx 1070 down.

Mad to buy now, wait until Intel and AMD reveal their prices on their new gear.

In about 2-3 weeks.
EDIT: Yes it's still 1151 - Kaby Lake.

Kabylake hasn't got very good feedback though from what I read.

Same as Skylake, negligible improvement from a company who (until Ryzen) has no competition. Really don't understand why people went from Haswell to Skylake.

Indeed, tweaked Skylake with higher power draw to increase the clocks and not much else, but this is what happens when you have zero completion to keep you on your toes.

Thing is you can wait forever. I been up to my head with work, built a cracking gaming pc for the lad and fancy one myself. Thought pah wait Im too busy. Well the prices today are the same as August other than newer gf cards.

Ryzen doesn't have a budget chip though early on. The first one shown is a high end 8 core and designed to take on Intel's highest end £1000 octacore. It'll probably be another 6 months before AMD get anything out in volume in the more mainstream quads.
But don't expect Ryzen's quads to be any faster than Skylake/Kaby Lake. It will be strong competition for Intel and they will lower their prices which is great but it won't happen for quite some time yet.
