I bought a sharpe 49" on tesco black friday event. Tool it back the day after. sharpe are not fully smart, they have bbc and that's about it. The one I bought had Netflix on the remote control however good not get Netflix on the tv. awful. don't waste time or money.

You need to do a firmware update on it. Takes all of about a minute to get going and then five - ten minutes to actually download and update... I love the Sharp TV I bought on Black Friday!

Or just get fire stick, root it and enjoy much more than any smart tv can offer for £20...

Reading through your post, it doesn't seem you're fully smart either.

I am very happy with my 49 inch sharp from Tesco at £199.99. The smart feature is a bit slow but acceptable, I paid extra 64.99 for a Amazon fire TV to use with, then all good.

Fire stick is slow, requires external power and is limited to a max of 1080p. Updating the TV firmware will give a fast netflix app that plays back at 2160p/4k and is better than the android/fireos NF app in everyway.
