And if you want HDR, you want 10bit HDR, and then we're talking about £800 minimum. Its a £300 TV, its good for what it is.

I've got a Finlux (vestel) 4k 3d tv and the input lag is 31ms in game mode. I don't know if this is also a Vestel or shares the same SOC chip. The Bauhn models sold in Australia appear to come direct from China. Many sets from different assemblers (vestel, umc etc) can share the same logic board or chipset and base their firmware on the same reference software from the SOC supplier, be it Mediatek, Rockchip or whatever. So it can be similar. Vestel's picture processing and scaling software is 'pixellance'
hot --- has scart! great for upscaling my betamax recordings of crossroads from the 1980s

Does it? This 2016 Vestel is always £300 when posted, it's the normal price. That's not a hot deal or good for the price, that's normal price.

If its the same deal as last month, why are they calling it a special deal?

Cold. Same price it always is. It's the 2016 Vestel that has been £300 every time it's be posted. Normal price. Not a hot deal. Keen to hear "Pondis" why you "think it looks good for the price" given that the identical TV has been this price for the whole year and always £300 when posted (well sometimes people have daftly shared at above £300 but £300 is the normal price for this TV).
Who on Earth could possibly be voting this hot....?!?!?!?!? Same people who vote Duracell deals hot????

It's a good 'deal'. It doesn't have to be discounted does it?

10 Bit panel yes the ability to accept a 10 bit signal crazily no Hisense fit a T-Con board to the M7000 that cannot process a 10 bit signal also no point getting hung up on the 8 bit 10bit mayhem that is going on right now the panel is just a part of what is required to get a decent level of HDR rendering Premium UHD certification on a TV means that it has attained the minimum level to make HDR work this was agreed to by most of the main manufacturers Hisense included.

Who manufactures these?

Vestel. You can tell from the stock display of the interactive features, the feet (sad I know) and the rear image as well. Vestel apart from anything else are the only manufacturer with the telltale slot for a 3-pin plug at the back. The list of brands under which this TV is sold is almost unending e.g. Panasonic, Toshiba, Hitachi, Polaroid, Celcus, Digihome and so on.
