You're confusing Three with Vodafone.

Those of you who wants to get this deal better be quick - "This product is only available between November 17, up to and including December 15, 2016."

Im pretty clueless about these things. Could I ask?
What are the charges for making voice calls & texts?
Can I transfer my existing 3 mobile number?

This is a 'data sim' - designed really for tablets (i.e. with cellular connection). Although it may be possible to dial out and text it will be very expensive. If you want a sim for a phone, this probably isn't for you.
But, yes, you could transfer your existing 3 number. Though it's a bit of a faff. You would need to first port it out to a different network (e.g. EE, O2 etc.) and then port it back in to 3 on your new sim.

is there a time limit when you have to start the SIM going? or does it begin as soon as you order it from Amazon?
ie. can I buy now, and start in 6 months time - and then enjoy 2years from that point?

None of the networks offer great service these days, but I agree, Three is pretty much the best there is - they do use offshore call centres but the staff are polite and knowledgeable, not human 'script-robots'.

I swapped to 3 on the circa £9 deal a few weeks ago. dreadful signal at home. Switched on WiFi calling (Supervoice). No difference. Tech support said my phone was incompatible with Supervoice, it isnt. To be fair they offered to release me from my contract at no cost. I asked for their Black Box, signal booster, but was advised no longer available. EE same signal issue, but took one if their signal boosters, worked brilliantly. No network is perfect, you take your shot depending on where your priority is. Home, Work or travelling.
