Have a hard to reach plug like behind the TV or oncoming Christmas Tree lights perhaps? Stick one of these in and you can turn on and off to your hearts desire via an app on your phone OR have it come on at set times and off too. If you've got an Amazon Alexa or Dot then use this in conjuction with that too

I have one of these in my garage running the external Christmas lights (they're not on yet!) and it's great. Shame there's no stock near me. Submitted a 'lower price' to Amazon in the hope they'll match.

Good stuff. This is the HS100, which is compatible with all the cheap Amazon Echoes that people will be buying on Friday (amazon are charging £24.99 for this right now).

Do you know what they will be charging? Although I don't need an Echo, with the right price I may be tempted.

Got £32.31 for 2 delivered from Flubit (none available to deliver from Argos for me) - so happy with that. Thanks OP.

Great deal, wish Amazon were matching.

Remember Quidco are currently doing £10 cashback at Argos if you spend over £25. So in theory you could get a pair for £22.98.

If its just access which is the problem, I use the remote control type ones which come as a set of 3, 4 or 5 starting at lower than this price. Better value but of course cannot be used with your phone.

This can control any plug in the house from anywhere in the world with a mobile. Great

Could someone help me understand how these work? ----- As in, how much electricity does this plug consume, sitting there connected to wifi and awaiting a "command" from the phone app?
