About ready to give up looking for a decent value 55" 4K set given all the light bleed/DSE/contrast ratio/IPS/HDR input lag/motion judder nonsense going on with every set. Might just opt for something like this until next year.

Add my vote to that. I have looked at so many reviews the last year and my conclusion is for those like me who still like to watch some standard def material, all 4K tv's no matter the cost do not upscale well from standard as opposed to Full HD TVs. Add to that the build quality e.g. Samsung ks7000 with many owners complaining of the backs comming away and the popularity of edge lit and subsequent light bleed, which all seems a step back and for what- there's still hardly any 4K content around not to mention HRD!

Finally a TV to add heat and not make cold.

I've seen adverts for 8K already, which seems strange as you can't get much in 4K right now.
