I had one of these for a few hours and can confirm that the emulation is very poor - especially sound...
The tones are off-key and the channels are out of sync with each other.
If this were around the £10-15 mark, I might have forgiven it's shortcomings but for £40, you can get a low-end Android device and a Bluetooth controller which will do the job better and offer way more in terms of entertainment.

Composite is beyond outdated and there's better old tech anyway.
