I had one of these for a few hours and can confirm that the emulation is very poor - especially sound...
The tones are off-key and the channels are out of sync with each other.
If this were around the £10-15 mark, I might have forgiven it's shortcomings but for £40, you can get a low-end Android device and a Bluetooth controller which will do the job better and offer way more in terms of entertainment.

is there any improvement to Wii2HDMI over component? I'm using component for my Wii, is there an advantage to HDMI?

I'm guessing there were licensing issues with most of the good games, hence the really poor selection here.

Apart from the voices the mega drive version was better, as long as you had the 6 button pad.

No Reicast, Mupen64, FPSE or PPSSPP?
Missing a trick there, m8, Powerstone 2 and Quake III are still fantastic.

Think it's in reference to Brazil. Sega are releasing hardware due to massive demands there at the moment. Brazilians love a bit of sega old school.

That's no valid excuse. AtGames is known to make crapware.
Even though I own the official Wii component cable I can't tell because my LED TV doesn't have component-support, which is one of the reasons I bought Wii2HDMI. But yeah, by the looks of it it's an improvement over the official Nintendo cable.
This post here that a Brazilian guy made includes several screenshots of Wii games via Wii2HDMI. 'course, it's not in HD but it sure looks a lot better than composite or component. Wii2HDMI sort of makes the official/unofficial Wii component cables pointless nowadays.
EDIT: Video comparison of Wii2HDMI vs Component - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5TmejH4J5Q Yeah, the Brazilian TecToy manufactured Segas for the Brazilian market. In TecToy's defence, their own Sega actually looks high quality and not a piece of crap like AtGames' version. As well as very authentic.. after all, it has Sega's blessing.

I have a Wii VGA cable. It converts the 480p component signal to VGA, I then hook it up to a decent spec 19" monitor. Picture is awesome, the best way to see Gamecube games unless you have a US/JAP Gamecube with the ridiculously rare and overpriced component cable

I got one of these last year and if anybody is thinking of getting one for a gift then be sure to buy an old joypad as the ones provided are useless. The great thing about this is you can play old games by inserting cartridges as well as using the in built games. really useful

It has come to my attention that it is possible to use the GameCube Component cable on PAL GameCube games but you'd have to force PAL to NTSC via Freeloader or such. A few loyal GameCubers have this as their set-up but most of us whom missed out on the NGC component cable just can't be bothered to spend $/£150 on the cable.
I'm still trying to get the official GameCube RGB cable for a decent price which is proving to be difficult. RGB is the best way to play PAL games without the Component and NTSC-to-PAL or whatever.

Preferred 6 buttons on th face rather than shoulder buttons, all fighting game pads have had six buttons on the face since. The official street fighter 4 fight pads looked remarkably like the megadrive pads.

R shoulder button was ok when changed to hard kick. the L shoulder button was always the problem so I changed that to medium punch as I used that the least

What a one-sided and dismissive description!
I'll have a go -
An epic multiplayer android gaming console that was one of the most successful kickstarter campaigns of its time. Incredibly playable games like bombsquad, hidden in plain sight, towerfall no brakes valet and others made it an absolute blast for couch multiplayer with a few beers / glasses of wine and some friends.
It also has the ability to side-load apps as it is android based, and has a host of emulators available for it.
Its controllers are nice but not super reliable when you get above 4 players (in theory it supports up to 8!!). Such a shame because if the controllers worked better it would be the only decent console that could do that.
It also works with Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers but it's fiddly to get them working.
However it was a commercial failure, probably because its single player catalogue was pretty dismal and the user base was small relative to other consoles, and the games catalogue was bought out by Razer. Hence you can pick up cheap hardware on eBay.

I'm assuming that the nes mini plays these sega games yeah?
Composite is beyond outdated and there's better old tech anyway.
