I bought mine last week, IMO it's fantastic fun. I'd previously used the Vive quite a lot and this is very close to that. What it lacks in room scale it makes up with better games (well nearly)
As others have said it is one of those things you have to try. Watching youtube clips of it doesn't give you the presence you get from playing a game in VR. We've had loads of people round from 18 to 82 and they've all been amazed by it.
The best games so far IMO have been Rush of Blood (very scary), Batman (short but amazing), Rigs (frantic action) and Waywood Sky (nice adventure), but a number of the demos you get with it are extremely good as well.
It's not for everyone, it makes some people feel sick (no one we've tried it on has complained), but it's worth trying out. It's daft for anyone to dismiss it if they've not had a proper go on it - it's like trying to criticise a film you've not seen. Have a go and make your own mind up. I think it's pretty amazing.

Credit isn't really the answer if you can't afford something!
But if you are going to use it, I can't think of a much better use. Put me in the very positive camp on this, almost worth it just for the incredible sense of wonder I saw in my kids faces as they tried it (at least the bit of the face you can see!). Worth every penny for that and to be honest the price of taking kids anywhere these days, it's only really a few days trips in cost.
The big danger is that you do find you want to try a lot of the other content and so I've bought a fair amount off the Sony store since having it. There are plenty of demos and free bits (download the demo disk, don't use the supplied one) but they do tend to be very short and you want more...

not sure why so many haters here, I wasn't someone who was looking at getting into VR but my wife ordered me one the last time this deal was on, and I've got to say it's a pretty cool experience. Graphics aren't that great but you soon forget once you're immersed. first time I played, felt really sick after a few demos, mainly after RIGS but since then I've played all kinds of games and I've been fine so think just needs warming into. People spend a lot more on stuff that they don't need, I think for the price it at least delivers something bit different in gaming and there's a wide variety of styles that can be explored im VR. not really bought any games yet apart from tumble VR and rush of blood. looking forward to robinson, farpoint and resident evil 7. for people on the fence, if you have the spare money it's worth giving it a go, can always sell on if not for you.

Yes, sorry, Tesco worded it as "back in stock" in their email but it is a pre-order on the website. Pretty much standard affair for these things at the moment it seems!

Have any HUKDers got this? If so, would you recommend?
- I had all the move setup and sharpshooter on the PS3, but never used it... will this be the same?

Sharpshooter is not supported. They will be bringing out new gun in new year, however good you have move controllers, they are a must, that will save you £69. I've tried it at a friends and I'm hooked.
Will fit nicely in the draw in the next 6 months, with the rest of the stuff you never use. :stuck_out_tongue:

Word of warning - what you see in VR will be NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD as youtube clips etc.
Don't get me wrong - it's a fantastic experience and immersion is amazing, but graphics are very poor compared to all the advertising clips.
Many talk of blur etc. There's a lot of blur and Driveclub is the worst for this.
It is bad.
But as I said, immersion abd VR experience is amazing.
Best price at the moment so heat for that.
I tried it out and ws amazed. Played for about an hour. no issues with wires or headset. It was really light and comfortable.
I loved it but unwilling to fork out such a large amount because of blurring.
It would seem from various forums some do not see/aren't bothered by blur.
Just wanted to give a heads up.
Good luck

Wireless VR will be heavy and only be able to run crappy mobile games. You're always gonna get a better experience running VR from a games console or computer.
