I've been on the lookout for a price drop on this for a white. A great little fryer.

people who actually have this: is it good for potato wedges, steak cut chips and fish fingers / samosas

It's good for all of those things - no oil needed. Chips come out crispy and fluffy in the middle.

I have this and it's one of my favourite gadget. Everything cooks quick and prefect and healthy.

Like others have said it cooks all of those things perfectly. I paid £50 in January.

I think I'll bite then, tired of having to wait ages to eat oil soggy chips

We can smell the fries but it's more like oven fries smell than chip pan smell

It doesn't leave a greasy smell in the kitchen like a chip pan does. You can smell things cooking from the airfryer but it's no different from cooking anything else in an oven. It's a much cleaner way of frying.

how easy is it to clean?

Very easy. The basket and bottom tray are removable and can be placed in dishwasher or hand washed.
