I bought one of these for £3 and although it works OK, the range is about 10 feet.
I use mine mostly close to the camera when it's on a tripod to prevent camera shake on lo9ng exposures.
Good for the price I suppose.

Can get from China for 99p or if you cant wait already in Uk for £1.49 from ebay.
