Thats a great comparism, cos theres nothing to do in Manchester/Liverpool. They have nothing going for them, sports wise no teams to watch, music wise - no heritage at all. Where as you can go to London go on the tube avoid eye contact with everyone, stay in over priced hotels, fight congestion everywhere. Its 3 hours from Boston to NY so if you need your fix its easy enough to get there. So it sort of makes sense? There is more to England than London, believe me I have been there, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Exeter, Lake District, York, Skegness

Two weeks sounds deal. Its also a 6 day 14 hour walk to Niagra Falls so you might just make your return flight and spend some time watching the Falls.

I went to Boston, went whale watching ..........17 bags of sick later never saw a whale. It's more about USA history really I found it mostly boring and I would not go again.

I've not been (always wanted to) but I know from when I went to the States last time it was on our list to visit because of things like Salem (old witch town), Boston Tea Party ships, Fenway Park, loads of museums, Freedom Trail (passes loads of locations significant historically to the USA. These are just the really touristy things to do. I'm sure theres way more to do.

So where do you like? Boston is one of the better US cities which are mostly generic could be anywhere. Cape cod not far, loads I new england again not far if you get bored of Boston. I lived in the us for a few years and hence seen quiet a lot if it.

Boston is fantastic - it very much feels like a weird US/UK crossover. Lots of English placenames.

Middle dates I think had the slightly shorter trips at the same price but generally they're 7 day flights.
