60Hz... now that wouldn't be too pretty on the eyes if a console is connected to this for gaming (not that everyone is going to do that).

Are you sure this is an 8-Bit panel? LG Support Chat confirms it is an 10-Bit panel.

I think it's like this - for example in an FPS, two players online with the same ping, one has a 60Hz TV and the other has a 100Hz TV. The guy with the 100Hz TV despite both with the same ping is likely going to see the 60Hz TV guy first and likely respond faster (i.e get the kill). So the higher the Hz on the TV the better for gaming.

IIRC consoles are limited to 60Hz no matter if the TV is higher?
