31 January 2017
• Mail to: HPE Claims Dept,Promotions, PO Box 1244, Yateley GU47 7FP. All submissions
must be received by Tuesday 28 February 2017.
• You will then receive an email confirming the rebate due to you and your individual
reference number within 7 days of posting. If you do not receive this email then please
contact us at [email protected] before the closing date of the promotion.
• Rebates will be issued within 45 days of approval of your correct claim

That price is excluded VAT and it was £5 cheaper 2 weeks ago as I bought one. So much for Black Friday deals!! Still a good price for a basic/home server.

Depends on your needs. This has more processing power and RAM and is cheaper than a 4 bay Synology. Would be better as a Plex server for example, since it has more power to transcode. However you also have to install an operating system and manage all the software yourself.
A Synology unit would be a bit smaller, quieter, lower power consumption, and come with their DSM software. That's relatively idiot proof and includes packages for most typical tasks. It would be less admin/hassle provided that the functionality you want from it is within the capabilities of Synology's apps.
