Cold because it's Currys. It'll be a nightmare if anything goes wrong.

At this price it's acceptable. The question is how upgradeable is it? Is RAM and the hard drive easily accessible for upgrading?
Edit: 2 cell battery and "up to 4 hour" battery life, ouch.

Why on earth don't they put an SSD in these things... my 2010 i7 FHD Vaio absolutely flies with an SSD about 10 times quicker! thanks op though

Why is it acceptable, I see no reason for it to be, machine arrives immediately needing a (potentially fiddly) £30-£50 upgrade that will make it 10 times snappier. Crazy.

Heat for the full HD, might even have bought it if it was £250.

30-50 if its just a casual internet cruiser, but a lot of people store photos and other crap. For a decent sized SSD its nearly as much as the laptop.
That said i wouldnt use a machine without an SSD :P

As someone that hasn't been that interested in laptops for a while, how bad is a 5th gen i5 paired with an SSD in this day and age? Was about to buy this until I read your comment haha

Anyone know if currys have any activce codes that can be used to bring this price down alittle? Was able to pick up a HP i3 from JL on black friday last year for £199...was hoping to pick up another i3/i5 for around the £250-£275 mark...havent seen many good deals on laptops under £300 so far this year.....
