Following on from my post of various new Amex offers available today, it seemed worthwhile calling out a specific deal based on combing the offer for Naked Wines (£100 back for a £150 spend) with a £60 voucher you can get from the Naked Wined site.
*** Credit to luvsadealdealdeal for the example spend and flagging just how good this offer is and also to BackInStock for being drawn to it fearing a lack of booze this year via OneStops not being included in Shop Small ***
Here's how to combine the Amex cashback and voucher...
1.) Save the Naked Wines offer to your Amex card via your online account. Note - not available for non Amex issued cards at the moment (MBNA, Lloyds, TSB and Barclays).
4.) Apply your £60 voucher to take it to £150. In the case of the example, it will reduce your total to pay to £152.82. The important bit is keeping it above £150 so your Amex offer is valid.
5.) Pay by Amex.
You'll then get £100 credited back via Amex, so a total spend of £50 in the best case, in the example it's £52.82 for 18 bottles of decent wine, so £2.93 a bottle.

Any doubters - did it myself and the 60 quid comes off at checkout. Once ordered immediate email from Amex. 18 bottles, 51 quid delivered. 2 happy relatives this xmas. Some major heat.

Are you sure the £100 credit worked in conjunction with a voucher? T&c's say it must be paid for in full using AMEX. Normally I'd have thought this would work, except eg you can't pay at boots for a £1 o2 priority lunch using advantage card points because the o2 discount is deemed a part payment and advantage cards must be used for full payment.
Which leads to my doubt about the wording of full payment for AMEX and naked wine.

As the post above states, this will be fine. You just have to ensure the total card spend shows as £150 or above.

All amex go on is the spend threshold and the merchant. If over 150 you'll get the statement credit. That is paying in full using the amex

I did promise my wife that I wouldn't drink any more alcohol.
Luckily, I promised myself that I wouldn't drink any less alcohol.
I'm interested in this (due to possible One Stop shop issues), but need it confirmed?
Any 'guinea pigs' out there?
I'm assuming Amex would only see the £150+ spend and honour the £100 rebate.
