Honestly when it comes down to deciding which console to buy, you choose 1.) which one most of your friends have (assuming you'll all up for playing online together) and/or 2.) which exclusive games you prefer.
Unless you don't play games much and just stick to the usual FIFA and CoD, then games and friends should be the only way you choose a console.

I looked yesterday and they had the 1TB and BF1 for a few pence under £287 IIRC. I was expecting that to be £249.99 by this weekend.

Just got back from a break away and last night went to play but world of final fantasy and it wouldn't power on, it seems no power is getting to the console.
Tried changing power & HDMI leads but still nothing :/

You can get the console with Fifa17 and Minecraft for £229.99 from Very. The price is £279.99, but they are giving £50 cash back until 3rd November if you take it on buy now pay later. The buy now pay later is interest free so you essentially get to pay it in instalments.
