This deal is based on 2 adults flying out to Venice Marco Polo from Bristol on 5th November returning 8th November.
There are similar flight prices from East Midlands.
You will be staying in the 3 star Nuova Mestre which is located a 10 minute train journey outside the heart of Venice. The hotel has good reviews on TripAdvisor and includes free breakfast.
Venice is a beautiful city all year round, I've been every season of the year and even winter time is a lovely time to visit, especially if you don't want the crowds of people.
I have stayed in Mestre twice and it is so easy to get to the heart of Venice. The train station has trains every 10 minutes or so running to Venice and it only takes 10 minutes max. If you'd prefer to stay on the island of Venice itself the price for these dates are fairly high so I'd suggest Mestre being the best option.
This deal only includes hand luggage however you're entitled to a 10kg cabin bag and a personal hand bag. If you pack wisely you shouldn't have any trouble doing this trip. If you wanted to check luggage in it'll cost £30 extra each.
Price breakdown
Flights booked with Ryanair - £39.96

Total price for 2 people - £139.95
Total price each - £69.98

Took the Mrs to Venice a couple of months ago and it was great! If you are going, Google 'water fountains', 'Venice service charge' and 'Constitution Bridge'. The bridge is featured on a show called Incredible Engineering Blunders Fixed. Actually, not fixed in this case.
When we came out of the arrivals gate at the airport, just to the left was a window that dealt with public transport. We bought return bus tickets to get to the city and back to the airport, 15 euros each, and we also bought 72 hour passes which meant we could jump on any water bus in Venice and take the train in and out of Mestre. You can also take the water bus to the other islands like Murano and Burano. We were very happy staying at the Hotel Della Rose in Mestre. A grocery store and the train was just a 5 minute walk. The train took 12 minutes to arrive in Venice. The bus from Venice to the airport only took about 20 minutes.
Venice is great for a 2-3 day break away.

A few euro return, it's been a few years since I've done that route but I'd be surprised if it was more than €5

2 euros 55 cents just got back 2 weeks ago be warned though that when you purchase your ticket you must validate it.
the need to validate the ticket is only shown on the small print on the rear of the ticket and come on who reads the back of their ticket?!
so many tourists were being fined 30 euros each myself included as the ticket inspectors were merciless
