This looks like a good price.
I currently have the Z3 compact and very happy with it. I looked at the Z5c before I bought it, it seems like the Z5c is mainly just a Z3c with a fingerprint sensor (which is a bit hit and miss).
At this price it seems a good buy.

The Z3c won't get Nougat whereas Z5c will ... around December according to Sony.

It's also a fair bit quicker - but the key point you missed off: the USB port is sealed but exposed, so no more faffing with the flaps and wearing out the rubber gasket. This is a huge bonus for retaining water-resistance.

You can request O2 to unlock it for free either online via a form or possibly phone them.
Cancel either by phoning or maybe online chat.
I would request the unlock code first then cancel contract after you have received it.
I think you have to have had the phone for 24 hours before requesting unlock possibly to make sure it is in their system.

You need to call O2 for both, they will cancel the airtime once you have the phone and unlock it. Have a look at some of the other O2 refresh deals on here, there are some detailed step by step guides to cancelling and unlocking.
Also be aware of the risks with this, O2 will most likely try and take the full contract cost out of your bank after you cancel which you'll need to claw back off them. If you cancel the DD to avoid this then you will run the danger of getting your credit score damaged.

on pay as u go , your phone can only be unlocked by them after 12 months. If you are not on o2 this can be a pain. Great deal though, heat added
