Been looking around for a reasonable branded tent in the sales for next summer
This one ticks the boxes for me
sleeps 5 (we are 4)
has porch
4000mm HH
linked (not sewn in) groundsheet
easy to put up
small bagged footprint to go in my boot
fingers crossed I get it out of the bag next year

simply put this is an awful tent based solely on the linked groundsheet. it is such a fundamental flaw it's baffling that it was given the green light past the design stage. as soon as the tent is up the bugs are in and then they stay in and increase in numbers. leaving it pointless to even try and sit down for food in the porch/seating area. there is also the risk of flooding as the water can just run straight through at ground level. I am an experienced camper and would venture to the Mourne's, torr head, Murlough bay, ballintoy, knocklayde, Ben Nevis in my terra nova which is a fantastic tent. I wanted something for the family and this arrived. this is not a tent. a tent is meant to keep you sheltered from the elements. this tent can't even keep out an ant. avoid and look at the euro hike or the gelert 6 which offer a fully sealed groundsheet, bigger bedrooms and 5000mm h/h.

just a concerned citizen spreading the love. wouldn't want an unlucky punter going through what we went through. no links, just some friendly advice. take it or leave it

For £117 i dont think you can go wrong .People mention a sewn in ground sheet is a must to stop bugs etc...Well they still going to get in the same way you do ,through the big massive door. The nearest rival with a shelter and sewn in ground sheet is the Vango calder 500 £199
Here mine i put up today ,the only issue a few of the guide ropes were tied up wrong
Never mind the fat bloke ,he doesn't come with the tent package
Very goid price for this. If I can find an extension to go with it I'm in.

I bought this tent a few days ago, not pitched it yet, alot of tents come with linked groundsheets, even the airbeam versions.
I suppose smedger is going to add links for the tents which are better for the same price? Or is he trolling.
