24-hour discount on the Golden Joysticks Pack which will apply a 96% (£23.99) saving on that tile, making it just £1. Previously customers had to vote in the awards to get a code, however, for the next 24-hours, this code will work!

It's time again for voting in the Golden Joystick Awards, and once again they have a promotion in conjunction with Green Man Gaming to encourage voting. Last year it was Bioshock Infinite, this year they're offering Spec Ops: The Line, Sid Meier's Pirates! and a Green Man Gaming Mystery Pack - for £1, in conjunction with submitting your votes to this year's awards.
You’ll also get your money back if you play Spec Ops: The Line (no details yet of how this will work, but I'd assume that this would be as GMG account credit).

Why is it in the innovation of the year category when spore did the same thing years earlier? Why is Hello Games up for studio of the year when they only released one game which was late, met to crappy reviews, and which they lied about the features of? Why is Civ 6 up for PC game of the year when it's not even out for another month? The Last Guardian doesn't come out until after they announce the results and yet that's up for best PS4 game.
Hard to take these major gaming awards seriously really.

I think I recognised one, but that was it. I skipped that category.
Certainly it gets a fair few of my votes. Blood and Wine's omission from most of the categories ought to be a crime, though. :smirk:

Blood and Wine should have been added to 'Game of the Year' category, even if it's an expansion pass.
Lord knows why PES 2017 and FIFA 17 are on there.

Wouldn't be a mystery if I told you
Offering rewards like this makes the awards pretty pointless (or MORE pointless, if the comments above are anything to go by), cos you end up with the likes of me, who hasn't played 99% of the games, hasn't heard of half of them, just voting for anything for the vote reward. But hey, if that's how they want to do it, I shan't complain, quite fancy Spec Ops for a quid
