24-hour discount on the Golden Joysticks Pack which will apply a 96% (£23.99) saving on that tile, making it just £1. Previously customers had to vote in the awards to get a code, however, for the next 24-hours, this code will work!
The code is: GTA59D-WU8Y43-KTNFJ4
It's time again for voting in the Golden Joystick Awards, and once again they have a promotion in conjunction with Green Man Gaming to encourage voting. Last year it was Bioshock Infinite, this year they're offering Spec Ops: The Line, Sid Meier's Pirates! and a Green Man Gaming Mystery Pack - for £1, in conjunction with submitting your votes to this year's awards.
You’ll also get your money back if you play Spec Ops: The Line (no details yet of how this will work, but I'd assume that this would be as GMG account credit).

Why is it in the innovation of the year category when spore did the same thing years earlier? Why is Hello Games up for studio of the year when they only released one game which was late, met to crappy reviews, and which they lied about the features of? Why is Civ 6 up for PC game of the year when it's not even out for another month? The Last Guardian doesn't come out until after they announce the results and yet that's up for best PS4 game.
Hard to take these major gaming awards seriously really.

Rooks Keep was my mystery game. Yeah, thanks for a multiplayer game that NO ONE plays! :smirk:
Awesome  I loved spec ops the line - so underrated. Pirates is fun and whatever the third game is....bonus.

Yeah, considering the price of the bundle was listed as £24 before the code I was expecting something more in the £4 price range, judging by the fact Spec Ops is worth £16, and Pirates is worth £5 on GMG. Especially considering the game is random.

Unfortunately, I keep getting payment declined on two different cards, it goes past the verified by VISA screen, and says £1 pending in my recent transaction list, but it still gives an error message. I was only interested in Pirates! anyway.

Already have the 2 revealed games but I bought the bundle because I figured the mystery game would be worth a few quid at least so would be worth it. The game I got was "incandescent" which is only worth £1.60!

Not a particularly good incentive this year. Given that previous years have been Xcom enemy unkown, Bioshock infinite etc. Spec Ops and Pirates have been in bundles a few times and are quite old.
Good for those who don't have it though as Spec ops the line is quite fun. although i need to revisit it as i think i stopped playing when i got stuck at a particularly annoying bit.

Offering rewards like this makes the awards pretty pointless (or MORE pointless, if the comments above are anything to go by), cos you end up with the likes of me, who hasn't played 99% of the games, hasn't heard of half of them, just voting for anything for the vote reward. But hey, if that's how they want to do it, I shan't complain, quite fancy Spec Ops for a quid

I mean you can probably already tell I didn't vote for them :stuck_out_tongue: Doesn't make it any less ridiculous that they're even in the running to win. Just seems like it undermines the value/ prestige the awards should have.

Last year was Bioshock Infinite for £1; for 2014 it was XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Yep, as above, my sentiments exactly.
Lord knows why PES 2017 and FIFA 17 are on there.
Certainly it gets a fair few of my votes. Blood and Wine's omission from most of the categories ought to be a crime, though. :smirk:
