Its definitely better than a broken phone.

If you don't want the risk don't buy a Chinese phone. It is what it is and for that price you can't expect the kind of aftercare you'd get from Amazon or John Lewis.
You want the moto g4 that tesco direct are doing for £125. No stress there.

I am getting so confused with all the different Xiaomi phones!
So many different models, and then different versions of different models.

Very nice, tempted at this price now. My LG G3 has been playing up for a while, and this would be a nice replacement.

Yes, I upgraded from Samsung Note 3 also. Great phone (warranty issues aside).

Nice! I think I might order. What shipping option should I do? DHL or Standard. Obviously I would like it soon but I do remember hearing something about having to pay customs if its DHL.

I ordered on the 3rd mate.Standard shipping.Received on the 16th.no issues. DHL attracts customs charges from what i can gather.

I'm really tempted to buy it just for the sake of long term testing... Got a Nexus 6p and N5 but I was really positive after playing with my friend's redmi note 2 pro last Easter. Good value!

Im a bit worried getting a Chinese brand devices, I am afraid it will break/malfunction after a week...I am also worried about the non detachable battery, what if it breaks or something? Can anyone confirm 100% that there are no customs to pay when taking standard delivery? Also is the "One-year replacement warranty in United Kingdom" free? If not how much is it?

Xiaomi is one of the largest phone makers in the world. I own one of their devices and its a great piece of kit. Their quality control is really good. They are also one of few Chinese companies updating their phone's OS for a reasonable amount of time. 99% of the time you'll be fine. However, if something goes wrong, you'll waste a lot of nerves/ /energy/time/ trying to get in touch with their customer sevices, sending the phone back. That's the risk associated with buying from a chinese website.

Any coupons to reduce the price further?

If you order through the AliExpress app, it knocks off an extra 1% or so. Not a huge amount, but it all helps. :-)

Ehhh can't decide whether to go for this or spend a bit more on the Note 4. I much prefer the design of the Note 4, but is there a Global version available yet?
