Just spotted this on a Lidl online leaflet although this came in store last Sunday (3rd Sept) i believe. From what people have said about these Powerfix tools they are supposedly pretty decent quality. Thinking of buying these myself so any comments would be gratefully received. I thought they might be worth a go for £6.99. Online description below.

I have to say I have had lidl screwdrivers for years and find them great value for money . As for the insulated shafts business , I never quite understood what this is all about . I never undertake any electrical work without switching the power off in the first place . Never been electrocuted yet . This is quite a topic of debate in our family

disagree on the quality - had mine for about 3 years now, and been used fairly regularly on jobs around the house and all still in excellent condition. well worth £7.

Not very good quality. They don't have insulated shafts so definitely no good for electrical work. OK for non electrical we jobs about the house.

I got the Bahco toolkit on the Homebase offer and think the quality is really good.
