Decent price for the MK1 Bundle really, it comes with Ableton as well and works with Mac, PC and iPads (not 100% if latest iOS supports it, although it should be fine)
Focusrite Midnight is still around £79 elsewhere so overall looks like a nice little set up. Not sure how many HUKD Musicians we have out there, but defo worth considering if you've been looking for something else to add to your set up. I'm a guitarist myself but do dabble with keys here and there. Using an M-Audio 49 jobby still.

Be careful with Gear4Music - they aren't to be trusted with their 'free gift' offers. They're also advertising the Presonus Studio 192 as coming with a free gift (a Faderport, to be redeemed from Presonus), despite the offer having expired at the end of July. I've been in contact with them about this, and they agree that the offer has expired, but they refuse to correct their listing. This 'free gift' might also be a expired.

How does this compare to the Akai MPK Mini MKII?

They're both quite similar feature wise, it'll most likely come down to preference. Have a feel of the keys at your local shop and decide that way. If you use Ableton, definitely buy this. If you use different software, consider other keyboards.

Great deal. Bass station synth that comes with this sound quite good.

I found the software that came with this really difficult to get the hang of (windows laptop) - thought it would have been simple plug and play but hours spent trying to find out how to use it!

If it was that simple everyone would be making music. Ableton is quite hard to get to grips with though i agree.
You should look at Bitwig, it has a much nicer workflow.

You can't go wrong for this price, although I prefer the larger models like 49 or 61 so you can get some more mileage out of it.
It takes some getting used to but it's some of the best software you can get for this sort of thing - the full version anyway, but lite is okay for a start.

Includes Ableton lite, not the full version. Lite comes free with a lot of hardware

Great midi keyboard, got one. Can't fault it. For this price include some focusrite plugins, no brainer!
