It's definitely 1GB RAM. Don't purchase this with the hope it'll be 2GB because you'll be disappointed.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? If your budget is £100, it's £100 - not £120, not £150, not £200... Some people have stricter budgets that some, and while you or I may not be one of those, £30 (30% more in this case) is a lot for specs and dual-SIM functionality they just might not care about. 1GB is fine for basic tasks, it will just complete things slower, this is just like the Windows tablets threads where so called 'experts' turn up saying Windows won't run with 1GB when it is actually fine.
If you are after a new branded handset for under £100, this is a good purchase, end of.

5.5" screen is to big for some, I find even 5" screens a bit to big for my liking.
My Nexus 4 was the perfect form factor imo, cant understand why no one makes an equivalent :disappointed:

1gb ram these days is pretty awful. It wouldn't be long until you have noticeable lag.
If you can afford £20 more get the Moto G 3rd edition. An extra 1gb ram makes a huge difference to performance.

Hmmmm description states only 1GB of ram, but doesn't the 16GB model come with 2GB ram?
Moto G4 Play has 1GB RAM with 16GB storage and there is no other variants of Play (otherwise you mean X Play or Moto G 3rd Gen with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal memory)

Googling the model number on Amazon supports the 1gb version.

Model for UK market only comes with 1GB RAM as confirmed by the few user reviews for the Play version.

no point in buying a phone today with only 1gb at 99.99+.... although Amazon description suggests 2gb. if that's wrong I guess u can send it back or ask for a, let's say, £30 refund, then at £70 would be w for deal

There are many different versions of the G4 Play for different markets. Unfortunately the UK version is 1GB RAM paired with 16GB Storage.
