Are the tickets emailed to you or do u have to retrieve them at the hotel?
As I am planning to not stay at the hotel but just to buy the cheap tickets?

we went to legoland yesterday. if you even want to get on half of the rides you need to get q-bot express. £35pp but we'll worth it. talking to people who were there for 2days; only got 4rides on the first day due to queues, second day got a q-bot and had done 4rides by midday

I would definitely recommend the q-bot if just for 1 day. We went for 2 days last year during May half term and got the q-bot just for the first day. We then did as many rides as we could and took it easier on the second day (eg looking at the displays and going on less popular rides) - this worked out really well.

The trick with Legoland is to start at the very back of the park and work your way to the front. Much less busy

Shhhhhhh! Now everyone will do it so best to start at the front!. The boat ride takes 1.5 hours to queue in peak so go there first.
