If you watch inbetweeners, there is an episode where they go to Alton Towers and Will complains loudly about Q jumpers to find out they are disabled. Very funny and your Legoland rant reminded me of it. You should watch it :smiley:

We went at the end of August this year and I don't think we'll ever go again!

The park was so overcrowded on the two days we visited the park that we just could not believe it.

Easily the worst I've ever seen it in over 10 years of going first with our eldest and then with our youngest (they are12 years apart :confused:).

We actually travelled 325 miles each way and stayed in a hotel in between visits and still we only managed 2 rides the first day and one on the second day. Absolute waste of time and money!

Totally spoiled by the the so-called disabled queue jumpers all of which seemed pretty mobile to me.

And before anyone starts getting all defensive and butt-hurt by that comment, with "not all disabilities are visible you know', well the free VIP status of some of these individuals give genuine disabled people a bad name.

I hear people say "Well my son is on the autistic spectrum and gets upset standing in queues", well sorry, but so does my son when having to spend 2.5 hours waiting in the baking sun to get on the 'Dragon's Apprentice' when he can see the same so-called 'disabled' people skipping and smiling onto the better rides via the exit and getting on within a few minutes.

At Legoland last year, we observed no less than 10 people (all from the same party) get on the Green Dragon after walking past a queue that was at the 1.5 hour point because one of them had a disability. They had no Q-Bot and no shame either.

I complained to Legoland customer service on that occasion, but they as much as said "tough luck"!

Highly recommend the Holiday Inn in the area

As for leaving didn't have a problem at all, either day straight out of the car park only problem was on M25 later (surprise)

Yeah, forgot that too as we have annual passes that cover that. The greedy barstools of course make you pay for it one way or the other by charging much more for them.

I've resigned myself to extortionate prices to spend 3/4 of my day queuing but really annoys me after a long day doing that to spend an hour sat in a queue in the car park and exit roads just to wait to get out of the place! Rubbish exit strategy for pretty much all of the merlin theme parks. Was just there Thursday gone. Would recommend you book at the on-site hotel AFTER your day too for a quick exit in the morning.

Who decided a "family" consists of 4 anyway. Why does it have to be 4? Why can't it be 3 or 5 or 6? Really cheeses me off, one of my bug bears of life.

The trick with Legoland is to start at the very back of the park and work your way to the front. Much less busy

You can also get quidco on the school absence fine

avoid avoid unless you love queuing or can afford to pay to jump the queues.

place is tired and worn out and tge best example of corporate greed. shocking cash cow!!!

nice day out just dont expect to get on many rides. get the app on your phone tells you the queue times

Also stagger your times - somethings you need to be there first for - others wait to the end of the day - I think we did the Viking (?) thing 4 times on way out last time we went, but earlier on queues were large.

The last time we used qbot we put 4 people on one device - thinking about it afterwards would have been more sensible to have had 2 lots of 2 - so for kids only rides could be queuing for 2 so to speak, or all together on others.

All the prices seem to have gone up a bit - shame

I can't seem to find the cheapest deal. Booking the dates mentioned above, 2 adults 1 child and 1 infant is giving me £135. Is that the cheapest?

We we to the farnborough holiday inn when we went to legoland last may. It was amazing. They are really good with kids. It was my daughters birthday and they sang happy birthday to her. The kids eat free there. And as for legoland we managed to get on everything and most of them twice. It just depends on what time of year you go. You cant blame them for being busy!! I would highly recommend this 2 day break. Mine cost £148 in may for 2 adults and 2 kids and 2 days in legoland. Bargain!!!!

We went earlier in the year. Queue times weren't too bad although we went on the smaller rides. Also the holiday inn at Farnborough was really good with a free gift for my son.

we went to legoland yesterday. if you even want to get on half of the rides you need to get q-bot express. £35pp but we'll worth it. talking to people who were there for 2days; only got 4rides on the first day due to queues, second day got a q-bot and had done 4rides by midday

far too busy a place you need queue hoppers if you want to get on a lot rides

Are the tickets emailed to you or do u have to retrieve them at the hotel?
As I am planning to not stay at the hotel but just to buy the cheap tickets?

Seems a great price.

They are real bargain, have been booking with them for short and last minute break at Legoland.
