Don't know about the longevity on Hitachi brand, seen this instore and handled it..
Would rather put my money on Bosch or De-Walt, this just looks and feels so cheap

You couldn't be more wrong - Hitachi tools are hard as nails, we have 3 year old Hitachi drills that get hammered every day and still going strong. DeWalts are pretty poor on the longevity in my experience - we went through a stage at work of getting a new DeWalt under warranty every 10 months, I really don't rate them. Pro grade Bosch are good, but the Hitachi drills are better again.

Drill ok but the chucks on these bad boys are unbelievably shocking . Drill bits often come out and the chuck slips into torque mode when drilling.

I've got the previous version to this and it's OK. The prongs at the bottom of the drill keep bending in, therefore don't touch the battery terminals and it cuts out. Also as mentioned the chucks are garbage but most modern drills are the same. Mine gets heavy use

The wife has been asking for an Hitachi for Christmas.
