This is my first post so please be gentle but I just thought this was a great deal.
So it was time for the yearly compare for my dad's home insurance as his current policy renewal had been bumped up by £15.
I went through quidco and noticed John Lewis was offering cashback for different policies.
I also realised they were also offering a free Nest Protect worth £89 for every new policy taken before 17th November plus 20% off
So my dad just took out the basic essentials home and contents policy (no added extras) which came to £96 so we ended up with £30 cashback and a free £89 Nest Protect. So hypothetically we've got the policy and earned about £20!
So although I've posted the direct link to John Lewis home insurance you will need to go through quidco first to get the cashback

Nest Protect Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm
Nest Protect Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm
The Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm speaks in a human voice and alerts your phone if something’s wrong. And if you just burned the toast, you can easily silence it from your phone.

Thanks for this, just ordered. If it helps you can choose contents and/or buildings insurance and still qualify for the Nest Protect. You can also choose between the wired and battery models. Delivery within 60 days. Fingers crossed Quidco tracks

yep cashback just tracked at £30 for a contents only policy which would have cost £96 if I hadn't upgraded certain bits. this is a bit of a bargain if you're in the market for a smart fire alarm!

Thanks OP, will see if I qualify. I'm typing from my mobile - could I get a link to the terms and conditions of the offer?

I wonder whether it is worth getting an extra policy at lowest price just to get this.

I was thinking the same thing, minimum values on what the policy covers so the cost is minimal.

I know there are different options with essentials being the lowest price. With the premier cover you get £80 so plus your free nest.
