It did work out more expensive for me with delivery though. I don't live near enough to a Staples store to collect.

I nearly bought this earlier, but decided to check prices (and generic ink compatibility) first.

Can anyone confirm that this will run on compatible ink? I have an Epson and have bought comparable ink several times from cartridge world and other suppliers and they have never worked. Looks good, if only the ink wasn't a problem. Please can anyone confirm. Thanks in advance

Quite often with some compatibles (depends on brand or source) you can not replace just one cartridge. Replacing all at the same time will work and still works out way cheaper than replacing even one individual Epson genuine.
The compatibles from my local supplier can be replaced one at a time on both my epson printers (different models) so its luck of the draw I guess.
Added: Just had a quick look online and the compatibles for this model are cheaper than Epson but still expensive. I have the older SX235W which does basically the same job and ink for it is uber cheap.

After reading all the reviews on the Asda page, I'm put off buying it completely. Apparently, generic inks don't work and often even genuine inks don't work. Looks like it could end up as an expensive ornament and I have enough of them !

I'm using Epson sx235w from 2012 and works fine with compatible inks. There are a lot of offers on ebay 4 colors for £4-5.

I'm not in anyway affiliated with Argos, or Epson, but I just checked Google reviews, and this particular printer has a 4.4/5 rating out of 536 reviews.
