Just saw an EasyJet deal posted, and it reminded me to post another 'trick'. I did this last week and the process was painless enough. Basically, if you book as soon as flights become available, they tend to be as cheap as you are going to get (especially if it's within the school holiday period) Prices generally tend to only go up, But it's worth keeping an eye on the prices, because if they go down at all, then you can claim back the difference in the form of a voucher, Just give EasyJet a call. This gives you advantage of knowing you have your flights 'in the bag' and also that you are getting the best price. I agree it's a bit of a pain checking prices all of the time, but it's worth the occasional look. The details are in their T's and C's, Article 25. Like I say, I did this last week and had a voucher back for £65, took about 10mins on the phone...
Yes, this has been posted before, but not for a long time i believe, so worthy of a repost for those that are not aware.

Article 25 Price Promise
25.1 If You have, or the Booker on Your behalf has, made a Booking directly through the Website and You, or the Booker, subsequently find that lower fares (when taken together with all applicable fees and charges) for the same easyJet Flight have become available, You will be refunded the difference as a credit voucher against future Flights on easyJet. The only exception to this “price promise” is if the lower fares have been offered as part of a promotional offer that is launched after You have purchased the Flight. For the avoidance of doubt, this Article 25 will not apply to any Booking made on Your behalf by any licensed third party booking systems (e.g.: travel agents, screen scrapers) or through easyJet’s Call Centre.
25.2 Each Flight will be treated separately. This credit voucher will be valid for use against Bookings made within 6 months from the date of issue of the credit voucher. The credit voucher will expire at midnight on the expiry date and the validity of the credit voucher cannot be extended.
25.3 To qualify for a refund, the lower fare must still be available for sale at the time the claim is made to Our Customer Service Team and must be for the same date, destination and Flight number as in the Booking made.
25.4 If Your “price promise” request is in respect of a Booking that has been subject to a "Flight Transfer" or a "Name Change" request (see Article 8 (Name Changes) and Article 9 (Flight Transfers and Flexible Fares (“easyJet Flexi”)) then easyJet will only consider the total fare (including all applicable fees and charges) in the original Booking as the reference point for the “price compare”, not the sum of the all inclusive fare paid in the initial Booking plus the additional fees and charges incurred as a result of the name change or Flight transfer. All transfer fees and name change fees are non-refundable.
25.5 Claims made in relation to this “price promise” must be made via telephone to Our Customer Service Team. Claims made by fax, letter or email will not be accepted.

I got £610 back. You can phone up multiple times on the same flight if the prices changes. (Which I did) Can just be on one of the ways flights as well or both. Got six months to use them.

Do you have to know the lowest price? Is there a pricetracker (like camelcamelcamel) to help with this? Cheers

No, they work out the difference when you phone, but obviously you need to know that there IS a difference. There are plenty of price tracker apps, that will give you an alert when a certain route drops below a certain (configurable) threshold.

I couldn't get them to provide the difference. They said not available on their system despite me having the lower prices in my basket. Eventually agreed to issue voucher for only one of the two flights on the booking. Not impressed but would be good deal if they behaved honestly.

Yeah, it has to be on their system and 'live', so no good trying if you have flights in your basket and someone else books causing the prices to change. They certainly don't want to give you the money back! I'm sure they rely on people either not bothering or not reading the T's&C's correctly, but I usually book 30 odd flights a year, and spend all day on a PC, so if a little bit of administration can help me claw back just a little bit, then I'm happy.

Their terms clearly say fares you find, not them but they make up new conditions when you claim.

One problem is, easyjet seem to have sales every month, if not every few weeks.
Would they still offer the difference during a sale as it would be a promotional period?
Why not just refund the difference?
