After seeing the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Deals and a few others appearing on here recently I thought I would put in a phone that I have recently purchased [after doing a fair bit of research to find a dual-sim phone, with decent band-support, 5 inch screen and opportunity for software updates].
Doogee get a decent reputation for a Chinese brand (also responsible for the HomTom - http://www.doogee.cc) and can be bought on amazon through various suppliers; they also support OTA updates.
This phone has decent phone-band support for 2G, 3G and 4G coverage in the UK and Europe (www.willmyphonework.net)
Basic specs:
MTK6737 (new) Quadcore Processor
2GB RAM
16GB ROM (expandable with MicroSD/TF Card)
Dual Sim
Fingerprint Sensor
4000mah battery for a couple of days use
5 Inch (720p) Screen
Available in Black or White
The camera is the weakpoint for this phone (5MP interpolated to 8MP front and back), no Gorilla Glass screen (although a $1 glass screen protector sorts that) and the robust looks due to the large battery.
IMO its one of the best (new - not 2015 release) low-priced phones. For this price, make sure you choose "EU Warehouse"

it was just a bit of tongue in cheek humour based around the new iPhone 7 launch, it was how they describe their decision the remove the headphone jack at their launch event.

I have a Nikon D5100 with a couple of decent lenses, but every time I run to get it, power it up, focus lock etc the moment has passed. Yes I accept that a DSLR will always take a better photo than a phone, but when it comes to impromptu shots at home it's hard to live with one around one's neck all the time (though that might be just my personal experience).
Then perhaps I might be in a small minority who believe that photos of children aren't needless.

I'm not up to date on my Scottish colloquialisms but this company just sounds 'dodgy' to me

As a Scottish person, I have no idea what you are on about.

Doogee = Dougie? (Scottish-ism for Douglas for those that don't know)
With the always **** part something to do with Dougie Donnelly perhaps?

my x5pro micro port became very loose.
broke screen when I dropped it, cost more than new phone to replace it so binned it and purchased the F5 which I am so far pleased with.

iPhone 7 reference ( one of their designers stated they got rid of the 3.5mm jack because they're courageous )

Looks like a good deal for the money if you're happy with the respectable 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM.
The big battery is what i like most about this deal.
