Took a punt and got one of these after getting an email from MCS as I had been looking on Dell outlet and they are double the price. I love it, pretty much in a new condition and much quicker than my surface pro 2

Good price. Only downside I can see is that it has a slower processor than a 2011 Lenovo x220 i5

The CPU is more than adequate. This is i3 levels of performance and incredibly low power. 7w TDP whereas I'd imagine your Lenovo was around 35w.

It is designed so well, that's its huge upside, I have the older 5Y71, remarkably wonderful if you know about why.

Yes it does. USB 3.1 Type C. - use an adaptor/hub for backward compatibility - either Dell or aftermarket

Ooh, dual thunderbolt ports!
I'm loving my Dell XPS 13 with one, admittedly I don't use the thunderbolt aspect atm but it hooks up to a USB PD capable charger with ease. Suddenly I'm charging my laptop off one of those many USB port brick things. Next up, a thunderbolt dock to hook up 3 external monitors, networking etc. and an external GPU dock.

How is the battery life of this laptop?

Its not bad but its not the 9hrs that Dell advertise! I've been using it for work and browsing and got about 5hrs from a full charge 3hrs streaming Netflix.
Has any one used this company OP is brand new so am very suspicious.

Yep.. I've bought a couple of tablets from them on previous HUKD posts.. they are great.
When you need service.. the owner replies by email and problems get sorted very quickly. They are aimed at businesses not individuals though, but even so i've had no problems.

Yeah, I bought a Venue 11 from them last year. The first unit had a fault with its keyboard connectors No ifs no buts, I sent a clear email highlighting how I'd diagnosed the fault so I was sure it wasn't user or other equipment error and the guy said no problem got a replacement despatched the next day and took the old one back.

can you please try to listen to the tablet when it attaches to the keyboard in quiet environment, can you hear any noise?

Ooh this is tempting. Battery life is the killer though. 3-4 hours just wouldn't cut it.

Good point about TDP, was just a bit surprised to see a lower benchmark for a 4/5 years newer laptop. I guess the focus during this time has been on lower heat dissipation and lower power consumption, which go hand in hand.
