I've been looking out for a good deal on folding Gatorskin 700c x 25s for a while now, and finally one has come about!
RIbblecycles currently has 20% off all tyres when using code 'TYRES20', which includes twinpacks. This makes the £44.99 twinpack a brilliant £35.99 - thats £18 a tyre! With free delivery.
Plus these are the slightly more expensive folding ones instead of the wired.
Great price if you are after some. I can see from searching that the last best deal was at Halfords 4 months ago for £18.39. Code expires in 3 days.

Good price, only if they were the Continental GP 4 Seasons which I prefer. I normally purchase mine from Amazon Germany for around the same price including postage and conversion rate

If you don`t mind me asking what makes GP 4s superior to Gatorskins? I have both just haven`t ridden the bike with GP 4s long enough to notice the difference

On amazon.de I see the pair for €80 which is £68.
These tyres are half that.

I should have also said that the wired twinpack is £36.95, which is £29.56 after code. So £14.78 each!

The Gatorskins is more geared up towards durability/puncture protection. Due to this, the tyre sacrifices speed as there's more friction and weight. The GP 4S basically is a good balance between rolling resistance, puncture protection, weight and durability. It has done really well in the wet too. I commute to work 4 days a week on these tires and so far I've been really happy with them.
Just to clarify I'm no expert but that's what I've learnt from my extensive research before deciding what to go for. I may not be 100% correct lol

I have gatorskins on my winter wheels. Absolute nightmare to change if you have a puncture. Very tight on the rim. Apart from that there good.

Agreed. Changed one last weekend and took me an 45mins. Can change the wife's 'standard' road tyre in about 10mins

Yup, gatorskin imo is the best tyre for puncture protection. GP 4S is the best all around tyre but in British winters not a great idea.

Are the folding versions any easier to get on? I find gatorskins really good but am tired of shredding my hands whenever I need to get them on and off!

Personally I find folding far easier to attach. Wired can be a nightmare when new but eventually loosen up a little.

They have the hardshells as well. Does anyone know the difference?

I found this extract from Continental quoted by Edge705 on cyclechat:
Hardshell Protection:
• Aimed at hardcore fast commuters who need the speed of a race commuter tyre (ie Gatorskin or Grand Prix) but bulked out to provide a tougher cross section in case of that unseen pot-hole or scuffed sidewall on the curbs

I've got a 10+ year old Raleigh mountain bike, I was thinking of putting slicker tyres on it as I only do about 2 miles a day on it and it's quite slow on the road with the off road tyres. I guess these won't fit first of all and would be overkill if they did?
It'll depend on what size your wheels are - best thing to do would be to check what size your current tyres are. If it's a mountain bike, then a 26" tyre (such as the one you've linked to) would sound like a fair assumption. The tyres in this deal are 700c, which is a different size.
