Which non-reference 1060 is £189? At the same price and given the option I'd probably take a RX 470 over a GTX 970 for slightly better future proofing and less furore surrounding VRAM.
Edit - just seen it....you meant the 3GB 1060.....not sure that's a great option for any form of longevity. Certainly the AMD offerings are a better choice in that comparison.

My first card I got from amazon(same model) had coil whine. Second card I got elsewhere was fine :smiley:

Good price.
I'm excited for the gtx 1050, coming in at 75w is going to be king of the budget builds aimed at 1080p. I've love a £120 price point, with its supposed near 470 performance. In some ways I hope its nearer £170, otherwise it could finish AMD off, and then nvidia could charge anything they want for cards.

The 950 has just about reached £120 on a good day so I'll bet you'll be waiting a long time for the 1050 to arrive and hit that same price. Still, good luck :-)
