Monitors seem to work better esp if you have 3 horizontal, kind of slight wrap around. but personally I think
21:9 monitors are the future.

Right, but just because you can't afford it or have the room, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't, so its impractical for you, but not for others. it takes all sorts.
You could argue the same for VR, yet plenty of us are buying PSVR, Vive or Rift..
If we all went by the same requirements technology wouldnt move very far, its not just games these are good for though, when you need a lot of screen real estate, Music, Video, Photography etc.

yes pointless for TV but pretty good for a monitor. the difference is with a monitor generally only one person is viewing. therefore they can be I. the sweetpoint of the curve.

That's nice but I don't have either the desk space or the money - and still can't see any benefit whatsoever in a curved monitor. It's a very limited amount of moving around or changing position you're actually going to be doing at a computer desk, playing a game.
