50% off food means you get a half size portion. A better deal would be 50% off the price of food or 50% off the bill.

I tried to reserve a table at my local harvesters and they are all fully booked , on both days, but was a good offer if your were going out for a meal.

So you usually only have a £4 starter then to only save a couple of quid?? A main meal is usually a tenner. So you save a fiver on that. If you are a party of 4 having just mains that's a £20 saving.!
