I got one recently and am very happy with it, I think a lot of the bad reviews are from when it first came out and had a few problems which have been fixed with updates.
I'd say go for it if you can afford one.

I would recommend you upgrade to a Psion 3.

If you have a child in nursery and get childcare vouchers through Edenred (which I do) you can also purchase Currys vouchers for 6.5% discount from the Edenred website.

Ignore the reviews and buy one. I have had one for 6 months and it is the future of the PC/Laptop/Tablet.
At that price it is a complete no brainer. Buy a 200gb micro SD for 45 quid and it can also be bitlockered and used as a extra hard drive.
Trust me, then thank me when you have had it for 24 hours!
UPDATE: Oh, and the new Windows 10 update makes this even better as Tablet mode is massively improved.

So is it 20% in total (10% cashback from currys + 10% from quidco)?

The fanless m3 version is only £629 (plus cashback) as well:
Fanless is the better choice if using as a tablet IMO.

This is a great price. The student discount from MS is normally pretty good on these, and even that is £764
So with this being ~£630 after cashback....really good. I've wanted a surface for a while after using one at work. I just wish the type covers were a more reasonable price.

Cheaper than retail stores and also come with Microsoft warranty
The terms also pretty much only include laptop cpu's so any Atom based devices are probably also not accepted.
And the offer is only upto £200 so if you rock up with a £50 tablet even if they actually would accept it that doesn't mean you're getting £200 off.
