Sumup charge 1.95% with no transaction fees. Think when I did some maths you needed to do about £18k a year before the contract route was better than the PAYG option.
Sumup don't currently offer a contactless reader but one is due soon so they say.

Yes, but having just gone through that, registering etc, I got offered the reader only for £29 plus vat which is more than it is here and the reader plus dock (which seems to be the one here) was even more £49 plus vat
