Thanks

Sumup charge 1.95% with no transaction fees. Think when I did some maths you needed to do about £18k a year before the contract route was better than the PAYG option.
Sumup don't currently offer a contactless reader but one is due soon so they say.

Little harsh to ban ingasos. Perhaps a warning for that sort of thing. After all, where would hukd itself be without affiliate link revenues?

Yes, but having just gone through that, registering etc, I got offered the reader only for £29 plus vat which is more than it is here and the reader plus dock (which seems to be the one here) was even more £49 plus vat

I'm sure the 0.2% will be referring to debits, 1% is about the best you can haggle to, maybe scope for slightly less, they do say charges will come down.
As you know many have moved over to percentage on the debit, I had 0.13 from one company but they would not offer a cap (higher average transactions). One of the big guns offered to cap a pence rate per transaction but not long into the contract letter came out and said going to 0.22 from memory so they are getting binned.
In process of trying to set up another who will Cap, best could get them on credits was 1.1%

One is for £19.99 the other is for £29.99. Are they both the same reader, or is it only the £29.99 one that is contact less?

Not contactless ready. Not ApplePay ready. Not AndroidPay ready. Also has 2.75% fees, same as iZettle.

You won't get it at that price. It's an exclusive offer to selected partners.

I just paid £19.99 (plus VAT) via the link, so you can pay that for it. I've been looking at using a terminal for a while now in my gym, most payments are for membership so £35, fee would be around 90p so may pass it on to the customer or just suck it up, can't really see a negative to this - heat added

The offer is valid, you can get the iZettle reader for £19 + VAT when coming to the offer page from a selected online partner (our review website). The Mobile Transaction link has been mentioned in the comments. If you access the offer page directly, the discount will not work. We are sorry for this confusion.

I take the majority of bookings for my business online but occasionally get a few direct. Each booking is £25-£35 and can take 25-50 bookings a month. At the moment the online payments are taken by paypal. Suffering baby brain here so can someone help me out, am I better off getting something like this?

Hot from me. We had a slightly better deal on our izettle last month, but it really works a dream, and for us doing festivals, proved a total hit with customers who all chose to have their receipts emailed to them...

It's great isn't it? I've been using iZettle since 2 years now, and apart from a couple of minor downtime, it's been great.
My passengers love the fact they can pay in my car, and are astounded it even supports Apple and Android Pays.

sorry may be a silly comment. But this looks very similar to what the bank (natwest) have given me for free to make payments. how it this different?

This is a credit card terminal aimed at small business, sole traders, cabbies etc. It means you can take credit card payments from your customers. The same as Tesco/Sainsbury etc do when you pay for your goods at the till.
The device you're on about, it simply a security device for your account not a credit card terminal.

Minimum (25x £25 bookings) : you take £625, you pay 2.75% which is £17.19
Maximum (35x £50 bookings) : you take £1,750, you pay 2.75% which is £48.13
Average (30x £37.50 bookings) : you take £1,125, you pay 2.75% which is £30.94
I don't know what arranagements you have with PayPal, but if they charge more than 2.75% then you are better off with this deal.
